The Certified People and Performance Leader (CPPL)® certification is designed for frontline leaders, supervisors, and mid-level managers responsible for leading people and managing team performance. This program delivers hands-on leadership tools, performance management systems, motivation techniques, and coaching strategies to help participants drive results through others. CPPL® helps leaders translate organizational goals into team success while fostering accountability, engagement, and development.

Domain Modules

Module 1: Transitioning to People Leadership
Leadership begins with mindset. This module helps new and aspiring leaders understand their role in building performance-focused teams. Topics include role modeling, psychological contracts, and shifting from peer to leader.

Module 2: Setting Expectations and Defining Performance
Clarity drives accountability. This module covers how to create SMART goals, align individual objectives to company strategy, and set team standards. Participants learn how to use KPIs and OKRs to drive behavior.

Module 3: Coaching and Feedback Conversations
Leaders must develop people, not just direct them. This module introduces coaching frameworks (e.g., GROW), feedback principles (SBI, COIN), and recognition strategies. Learners practice handling development, reinforcement, and corrective conversations.

Module 4: Managing Motivation and Team Engagement
People leaders must energize their teams. This module explores intrinsic and extrinsic motivation theories, practical engagement drivers, and how to tailor motivation strategies to individual personalities and team dynamics.

Module 5: Conflict Management and Difficult Conversations
Conflict is natural—and manageable. Participants learn how to navigate tension through structured conversations, empathy, and behavioral analysis. The module includes conflict resolution models and techniques to handle emotional, behavioral, or value-based disagreements.

Module 6: Performance Reviews and Accountability Systems
This module teaches leaders how to conduct meaningful performance reviews, implement improvement plans (PIPs), and ensure accountability while preserving trust. It includes check-ins, dashboards, documentation, and progress tracking.

Module 7: Inclusive and Ethical People Leadership
People leaders set the tone for inclusion and fairness. This module focuses on leading across diversity dimensions, minimizing bias, and building psychological safety. Leaders learn how to foster inclusive decision-making and respect diverse work styles.

Module 8: Capstone – People Leadership Performance Plan
In the capstone, participants design a complete people leadership plan. This includes a team development strategy, a sample performance dashboard, and a feedback and coaching framework aligned with organizational outcomes.
