The Chartered Organizational Leadership Consultant (COLC)® certification is designed for leadership advisors, consultants, coaches, and facilitators who work with organizations to diagnose leadership challenges, design development strategies, and implement performance-improvement initiatives. COLC® empowers professionals with consulting methodologies, leadership analytics, facilitation tools, and executive coaching models. It positions participants as trusted advisors who can shape leadership ecosystems that align with business strategy and culture.

Domain Modules

Module 1: Foundations of Leadership and Management
This module introduces the mindset, scope, and ethical responsibilities of leadership consultants. Participants examine internal vs. external consulting models, stakeholder management, and the consulting cycle—scoping, diagnosing, intervening, and evaluating.

Module 2: Leadership Diagnostics and Capability Mapping
Effective consulting begins with accurate diagnosis. This module trains participants in tools such as 360-degree feedback, competency mapping, culture and engagement diagnostics, and individual leadership assessments like DISC, MBTI, or Hogan.

Module 3: Designing Leadership Development Frameworks
Participants learn to create scalable leadership programs tailored to organizational needs. Topics include leadership academies, coaching journeys, experiential learning, blended development pathways, and linking programs to business outcomes.

Module 4: Facilitation, Coaching, and Behavioral Change
Consultants must also act as facilitators and behavior change agents. This module covers adult learning theory, coaching models (GROW, CLEAR), feedback techniques, and creating safe spaces for vulnerability, reflection, and growth.

Module 5: Organizational Culture and Leadership Systems
Leadership cannot be isolated from culture. This module addresses cultural alignment, values-based Leadership, organizational design principles, and behavioral norms. Participants learn to map the link between leadership systems and business strategy.

Module 6: Succession, Governance, and Pipeline Strategy
Advisors must support long-term leadership continuity. This module includes succession planning, board and C-suite development, high-potential (HiPo) identification, and designing equitable and inclusive leadership pipelines.

Module 7: Metrics, ROI, and Client Impact Reporting
Consultants must prove their value. Participants learn to define success metrics, measure ROI, collect feedback, and present impact reports. Topics include evaluation models (Kirkpatrick, ROI Institute), behavioral KPIs, and executive scorecards.

Module 8: Capstone – Client Consulting Project or Simulation
In the capstone, learners complete a simulated or real-world consulting engagement. This includes diagnosis, solution design, facilitation plan, and final presentation or report to demonstrate their consulting and leadership expertise.
